The following are the Terms of Use for all of my Digital Scrapbooking products. Please be so kind as to respect these terms with the understanding that although I my creations away on this blog, they are not for anyone else to give away.

1. Copyrights to all designs belong to the original creator, Joanna Cinnamon, with all rights reserved.
2. Distribution of these designs in any fashion is not permissable.
3. All graphic designs are for personal use only.
4. You may post layouts to websites or scrapbooking magazines that include any portion of the graphics, altered or not, providing you give proper credit and reference back to MyDigitalAddiction.blogspot.com.
5. Graphics may not be used commercially.
6. Altering a graphic is permissable, however you many not then claim them as your own.

New Plans, New Freebie!

As there often is, my website disaster had a silver lining. I took some time to think about what I wanted to do and decided to refocus my attentions on other things. I will not reopen MyDigitalAddiction.com, but will instead operate from this blog AND I will continue to give away my freebies, as always. I've renovated my blog and am starting fresh!

Thanks so much Brittney, Vera and everyone else who faithfully comes to my blog, leaving comments and emails - Thank-you for all of your support and encouragement.

AND NOW.... for my first big freebie! "Girls Night Out" was a customer favorite when I owned a store. It's fun and bold, naughty and nice, with a touch of both grunge and bling. It's for those great girls nights when no guys are allowed. It's pretty big in size, so I'm going to divide it up into several smaller pieces and give it away over the next little while. A NEW "My Digital Addiction"

Please bear with me, folks, as I update...

My Digital Addiction is GONE!

To all of my Customers and Friends: From the moment I opened "My Digital Addiction" I have had significant issues with my Hosting provider. Because of these issues, I quickly realized I would have to change Hosts in order to provide the service I wanted to my customers. I changed to a Host I have been very happy with and have not had a single other issue. However, I never received a refund from the original Host of several hundreds of dollars. I'm not a big-time designer, in fact I only give my designs away. So I'm sure you understand that I do not have that sort of expendible cash floating around. Despite numerous attempts at resolution, including everything short of a lawsuit, this situation remains unresolved. Today, despite my understanding otherwise, my domain registration expired and the original company has not been forcoming with the required documentation to reinstate it. So as of now, "My Digital Addiction" is no more.

If the situation changes, so may the outcome. Until then, please continue to visit me at this blog where all will continue as usual.

I'm Off to Get Married!

Just touching base to say "Good-bye!" for about 2 weeks... we leave in the morning for our Wedding and Honeymoon, and although I love you guys, I doubt I'll be checking in! LOL! Have a great time in my absence - I know I will! When I get back I will get back to the business of Scrapping! Bye!

The Designer of the Month is Back!

I've been so busy lately that my Designing and Digital Scrapbooking has taken a back seat. In the process I missed 3 Designer of the Month spots! But we're ba-ack! For the month of July, we are honored to have Dede Smith as our Designer of the Month.

There are so many Designers in the business right now, that it's very easy to get lost in the fray. I typically have about 5 favorite Designers and stick to their designs. However, this is why I find the Designer of the Month so fun. I get to "discover" Designers, new and old, with a wide variety of talent and style. Dede's designs are some of the sweetest I have seen in a long time. Cute, cuddly little teddy bears, beautifully coordinating designs, richly textured papers... you're going to love them!

Shutterfly Inside Scoop!

I'm a huge, huge fan of Shutterfly and recommend them to anyone and everybody I can - especially when it comes to putting your Digital Scrapbooking Layouts into a photo book. CRASH!

You would not believe what happened to me today. It's the Digital Scrapper's Ultimate Horror Show: a wierd virus attack (despite McAfee!), in fact the virus seemed to disable my antivirus, and would then start playing porn movies on my screen along with Rap Music Lyrics. I've lost everything - my entire hard drive, including everything I have acquired in the last 3 months! I've spent the last 9 hours attempting to get my PC at least running again. I'll try to get the final installment of "Text Talk" up tonight. Wish me luck!

Digital Piracy

As I write this, I am still so incredibly irritated. I have spent the most part of the day dealing with thieves.

Every once in a while, I spend a little time searching the Internet... I blog hop a little, then I Google my name, or any other identifying factor. It's always interesting to see what comes up. For the most part it's always pleasant... I get a glimpse of the layouts done with my kits etc. Today I found a big ring of Pirates, giving my stuff away. I had heard that Digital Piracy was rampant in the last few months. I guess since I didn't see my own stuff being pirated, I didn't feel the extent of it.

I like to think that the majority of Digital Piracy is based on ignorance. Perhaps the person never read the Terms of Use. So, I thought I would take the time to post my Terms of Use for all to see and discuss them, so as to eliminate any confusion.

1. Copyrights to all designs belong to the original creator, Joanna Cinnamon with all rights reserved. Distribution of these in any fashion will be in violation of international copyright laws. Graphic designs are for personal use only. This means you cannot share them with your best friend, with a Yahoo Group, on a blog or anywhere else. Designers put a lot of time and money into their craft and the maintenance of a website. Money is often made through website traffic. If you would like your friend to have a copy of a product, send them directly to the site. It's that simple.

2. You may post layouts to websites or scrapbooking magazines that include any portion of the graphics, altered or not, providing you give proper credit and reference back to http://MyDigitalAddiction.blogspot.com/. You cannot make "Quick Pages" or templates and give them away on your blog. That is considered altering and is a violoation of these terms.

3. These graphics may not be used commercially without written permission from the owner. You cannot sell my products, altered or not, or use them in any way to obtain a profit.

4. Altering a graphic is permissable, however you many not then claim them as your own.

A Fresh New Look

Good Morning! How do you like my new blog design? I thought I would freshen it up for Spring. Kinda like Spring cleaning. I can also get more information on it, so it should be a little more useful to all of us. Stay tuned as I get it customized and running smoothly...

Softly Whisper Kit

Another release! I love releases! Here is "Softly Whisper." It's actually a lot like "Addicted to Love," now that I see them side by side in the store... I call it chocolatey-rose. This one is definitively girly, with flowers, lace and culicues. Here's a layout I made with it of my younger brother, Ben, his good friend and their two little daughters. Too cute!

Help Us Save DigiScrapDepot!

As many of you know, My Digital Addiction highlights a new Designer each month. It's one of my favorite parts of running this site, because I get to know different Designers and their products that I wouldn't otherwise ever meet. It is especially nice because it is also an opportunity to interact with the Digital Scrapbooking Community. I'm sure you will agree with me that this Community is made up some of the most sweet and caring individuals that any of us have had the previledge of encountering.

One of these folks, is Vicky, the owner of DigiScrapDepot.com. Several months ago, she started DigiScrapDepot.com as a place for Designers to compile their freebies. Ever since it has become a gathering place for freebie hunters from all over the world! In fact it grew so quickly that it has already required a dedicated server. This is great news on one hand, but on the other hand, a dedicated server cost a lot of money! This is where I was hoping I could help.

This month, instead of having a "Designer of the Month" I thought we could have "Website of the Month," DigiScrapDepot.

Although this is great news, the new server costs a chunk of money and Vicky, the owner, needs our help! Going Home for a Visit

Whoo-Hoo! I'm going to visit my family in Canada! I usually get to visit them about once or twice a year, and I try to make it in the summer. However! It is my little sister, Melody's 30th birthday in March and I'm going to surprise her. (Unless, of course, she finds her way over here and reads this - Yeah, right! Haha!) This is her during our recent trip together to Cancun, Mexico - she's going to kill me!

Did anybody watch that movie "Bucket List?" I haven't yet - I've just seen the previews, but I have a Bucket List - a huge list of things to do before I kick the bucket. I was so excited to be able to do a couple of them while in Cancun. One was snorkelling and one was seeing the Mayan Ruins. So cool.

I still have to see the Egyptian Pyramids, go on an African Safari, a trip to Alaska (that must include seeing a bald eagle and a killer whale) and I want to take a flight to Australia. Australia has always seemed so faraway and exotic to me, from the moment I first saw the Sydney Opera House in a picture. Can you believe I've never seen a kangaroo except in an zoo?! The natural wonders of Australia seem to go on forever... I mean who wouldn't want to dive in the Great Barrier Reef? Ok... so I'm getting carried away... Can you tell travel is another passion of mine?!

A Weekend Day Off!!!

Good Afternoon! I have a day off! Whoo-Hoo! Guess what I'm going to do?! Laundry and house cleaning! Ugh! Something is wrong with that, isn't there?!

Before I go, I just wanted to remind anyone who wanted to participate in our Layout Contest that today is the last day for submissions - until midnight - so get them in now! There hasn't been very many entries, so your chances of winning are pretty darn good!

A New Way to Pay!

When I started "My Digital Addiction" a few months ago, I really wanted to be able to offer the Digital Scrapbooking community a place to interact, learn and above all, find quality "freebies." I was well aware that my hosting and bandwith costs would be significant, but I was thinking (mostly hoping!) that advertising placed on the site would cover the costs. Unfortunately for the time being, they are not. No biggie - I realize we're just starting out... We're growing drastically each month, so I am maintaining hope! In the meantime I am always trying to find ways to cover the costs.

The other day, while blog-hopping, I came across another Digital Scrapbooker's Blog who not only scrapped for hire but blogged for hire. What a great idea for a SAHM! Or, even better... what a great idea for ME!!! Maybe this could be a tool in keeping my site alive! Haha! So, I've signed up with Pay Per Post.

Pay Per Post is company that brings together Bloggers and Advertisers, to their mutual benefit. You can get involved in this opportunity as well, by doing blog reviews of my posts, if you like!
